Gideon D. Wilonja is a Congolese-born, Melbourne-based stylist, writer, and creative director whose work moves fluidly between fashion, theatre, and film. Whether crafting an editorial, shaping a runway narrative, or directing performance on screen or stage, Gideon builds worlds that balance boldness with intimacy.

Grounded in years of experience across both fashion and the performing arts, Gideon’s practice is defined by an exploration of gendered aesthetics, where the feminine and masculine meet, blur, and create something entirely new. His imagery carries both strength and softness, guided by a sensitivity driven from storytelling.

A collaborative maker at heart, Gideon works across casting, directing, location scouting, lighting design, garment sourcing, and set design, bringing concepts to life with precision and imagination. His clients span major cultural and commercial institutions, including Melbourne Fashion Week (MFW), Melbourne Fashion Festival (MFF), Marie Claire, Gucci, Seed, Chadstone The Fashion Capital, HBO max, Stan, Mwangaza Theatre, and many more.
